Match 7: Karachi Kings Vs Peshawar Zalmi

The most awaited and thrilling match it was, because of Afridi and Peshawar Zalmi. Last year, Shahid Afridi was part of Peshawar Zalmi and this year he is playing for Karachi King. And the most beautiful thing of Peshawar Zulmi is Darren Sammy Khan, his love with Pashto and Pakistan has won the heart of Pakistani nation. Peshawar Zalmi has played it 2 matches with 1 won and 1 lost and playing the 3rd match, while KK is playing the 2nd match. Both teams have same point scores 2. So, the match was between PZ and KK. PZ won the toss and decided to bat 1st. Their batting line seemed too weak. But the score was going well. PZ innings end with a score of 131-9 including 7 sixes and 9 boundaries. Highest scores were 71 made by D Smith and he remained not out. Other players didn’t cross even 20, so there was no remarkable partnership.  During bowling, KK team seem too much organized and united. Their body language was perfect. M. Amir took 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 6 runs. Afridi also took 2 wickets in 4 overs with 22 runs. Irfan and Mills took 1 wickets each.

Karachi King had to chase the target of 132 in 20 overs with the required run rate of 6.60. Started batting from kk team as openers. Their batting was also very good as their bowling and fielding. Their current run rate was 7.25 that was a super run rate for chasing target easily. But at the end match got unpredictable with need 5 runs on 6 balls. And then a catch in last over changed the game. The suspense was high at need 3 runs of 3 balls and then there came a six.

Karachi King won the match in last over by 5 wickets with a score of 135-5. Highest scores 29 were made by Denly. From Peshawar Zalmi Jordan and Ibtisam took 2, 2 wickets and Asghar took 1 wicket. Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi were also in the stadium for supporting their team. Sanam Baloch and many other celebrities were also there for supporting their favourite teams. D. Smith was the man of the match from Peshawar Zalmi on his highest scores and sixes.
