Match 4: Islamabad United Vs Peshawar Zalmi

Welcome to another thrilling day of the Pakistan Super League. The fourth match of the Pakistan Super League was played between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalim. This was the first match of Islamabad United in League. Peshawar Zalmi was beaten by Multan Sultans in their first match. Islamabad United won the toss and they decided to bowl first. Misbah ul Haq was not playing this match so Ruman Raees is captaining the Islamabad United. There was one change in the Peshawar Zalmi Side. Umaid Asif Replaced Hammad Azam. Tamim Iqbal and Kamran Akmal were open the inning for Peshawar Zalmi. Muhammad Sami was to bowl first over. In his second ball of first over Tamim Iqbal open the account with a four boundary. 

 

The West Indies All-rounder Andre Rusell who was out from international cricket for at least one year has to bowl the third over. Both openers open their arms and bashed Andre Rusell. He gave 21 runs in his first over. Kamran Akmal completed his fifty at the end of sixth over. In very next over he got out by Patel.  He scored 53 Runs by playing 32 balls. Smith was the next batsman to come. In first ten overs, Peshawar Zalmi scored 100 runs for the loss of one wicket.  At the end of 12th over, shaded khan got the wicket of Tamim Iqbal. He scored 39 runs from 29 balls. In next over Fahim Ashraf got the wicket of Smith. He scored 30 runs from 21 balls. Peshawar Zalmi was looking for the partnership. 2nd ball of the 15th over Faheem Ashraf took the wicket of Darren Sammy. At the end of 16th over Peshawar Zalmi were 142 for 4. In last six over they scored 42 runs for the loss of three wickets. Peshawar Zalmi gave the target of 176 runs in 20 overs. Muhammad Hafeez was not out the batsman who scored 30 runs from 22 balls. Faheem Ashraf took 2 wickets while Patel, Rusell, Raees and Muhammad Sami took 1 wicket each. Luke Ronchi and Chadwick Walton were to start the inning for Islamabad United. Left arm off spinner Muhammad Asghar was to start the bowling for Peshawar Zalmi. He gave 10 runs in his 1st over. Walton was looking dangerous. But Umaid Asif, PSL Debutant, took the wicket of Walton in the second over of inning. He scored 11 runs from 5 balls. Asif Ali was the next batsman. In the same over he also took the wicket of dangerous Luke Ronchi. Islamabad United was now in under pressure. Iftikhar Ahmed was the next batsman. Umaid Asif was on fire. In his next over he also took the wicket of Asif Ali. Islamabad United was in deep trouble. At the end of 4th over they were 25 for the loss of 4 wickets. All 4 wickets took by Umaid Asif.

What a day for this youngster. Now Iftikhar Ahmed and Samit Patel were on the crease. Iftikhar Ahmed and Samit Patel were looking for building a strong Partnership. But they failed and Jordan took the wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed on the last ball of 7th over. He scored 9 runs. After 10 overs Islamabad United were 61 for 6.  After 20 overs they scored 142 for the loss of 9 wickets. Peshawar Zalmi won the match by 38 runs. Faheem Ashraf was the highest scorer for Islamabad United. He scored 54 runs.  Umaid Asif took 4 wickets and Ibtisam Sheikh 3 wickets.
