Man is different from animal
God said, in the Holy Quran:
إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا
“Verily we created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him. So we gave him Hearing and Sight.” [76:2]
If we look at this little sentence we find it absolutely true. The human has conquered most of the world but himself remains a riddle. Whatever science has endowed us in regard to the knowledge of human, is insufficient. We have to know the composition of the human body, analyzed his nervous system, yet it terms far from reach.
Apart from his materialistic nature, he better be called a statue of feelings and desire. As John Muir said, when one tug in a single thing, he finds it attached to the rest of the world” so is the case with human his one aspect is intimately connected with another aspect. It is therefore beyond ones hold to understand and analyses human in each and every aspect.
By the world, feel is meant, perception by touch and intuitive awareness. By the touch external conditions like hardness, softness smoothness etc. Can be recognized and not the nature nor does it give information about the color touch therefore, it is totally unable to tell us about the internal structure of things sympathy, kindness, emotions, cannot be revealed by touch for their manifestation there must be another quality, and it is intuition so the interpretation of feelings can be made in respect of intuition the intuition is an immediate and instinctive sense of perception.
The intuition or feeling are placed into two categories (a) social feeling (b) individual feelings for instance generosity or to think for the altruism of others is a social feeling on the contrary revenge and robbery etc. are individual feeling is one of assistance and other is harmful to others. Hence it is impossible to achieve permanent happiness, through individual feelings they are limited to oneself instead of producing real happiness they produce misery and confusions, people, therefore, hate and contempt such a self-centered person such a man Rather, being beneficial to his nation or state becomes an ulcer for it.
Social feelings, however, are not limited to one man and are not of egoistic nature, but have vast limitations a man keeping such social other life for them such a social feeling can achieve real and stable delight. Those who live for other’s others live for them. And through this mutual sense of living, they remain alive and alive forever. Here the principle of immortality fits fully.
The maternal feelings, I assume, is a mixed one; because, whatever feelings a mother possesses for her own child, possess same for others. This statement does not, however, fit in case of animals. For animals feelings are meaningless because their nervous system is not so well developed as that of a human, hence they are more stupid. It thus could be a vague expression to classify animal feelings.
As an animal has no conscience, which according to Darwin is “The production of feelings and desires”. And, therefore, has no ability to differentiate between vice and worse, good and better. For it, both are of same quality. In fact, a man with has conscience dead takes after an animal and is fit for a herd of swine rather than to his fellows.
Super of all has been termed a national feeling. The national feeling could only be produced when conscience is awakened. A nation denuded of such feelings remains idle, slothful and sunken in dark. Treasures of a nation are of no value before a person who lacks self-recognizance and self-confidence. It is the conscience through which one achieves self -recognizance. When “self” is achieved, then man reaches an extreme summit of humanity where there is no difference between creator and creation.
From above discussion, it is evident that our characteristics like, sympathy, kindness, confidence, conscience, altruism etc. All develop from feelings. Thus these are the feelings which provide us with all
Place in the society and the environment about and by this we play the part among our fellows and the world over, no anyone ideal happy man does exist in the world, he must suffer from sorrow, woes and delights are for a time being, one is with us and other waiting for only our feelings make us sad and sorry, happy and cordially delighted.
