Can Electronic Media Replace Teachers?

Electronic media has fixed its roots in every corner of the world. It has revolutionised the world by providing the latest information in seconds. Our every work is incomplete without electronic media. If one wants to get any recipe he gets it through Electronic media. Electronic media has somehow saved our time and money. For example: If one wants any book and it is not available in stores then one has to wait for it and has to pay money in advance. He can read the same book through electronic media (without giving money). The government of Punjab is inspired by this example and they have launched electronic library. Those were the old days when one had to wait for daily or weekly newspapers to know about the views of intellectuals. But Electronic media not only provides the information in seconds but we are free to share our views regarding the topics.

The thoughts and knowledge of students are not limited to the four walls of the classroom but they are discovering the world by just one tap or click. How can one forget teachers when the classroom is mentioned? Teachers are the pillars of this nation who modify the sparkles (students) to give more brightness to make the nation’s future bright. As electronic media provides online classes so teachers are considered as the signs of past in the thoughts of some people and a question is clicked in everyone’s mind that Can Electronic media replace teachers? Like the hand fans were replaced by ceiling fans like the letters were replaced by WhatsApp and other texting apps, Can Electronic Media replace our teachers?

It is true that a person can learn a language by sitting on a comfortable sofa and holding his phone. Because it is the nature of Man that he likes a thing which gives him comforts and offers him a life of leisure and pleasure. But it is a big no for this question from my side.

Teachers can tea h better with the help of social media. They can teach students by showing the colourful locations of the world on a projector rather than using the black and white map. They can take us to the time of discoveries with the help of movies. They can enhance our creativity and think by showing the colourful things because colours add a life to our surroundings. But remember that computer is also taught by a teacher. The computer hasn’t created teacher but the teacher has created the mind of that scientist who invented the computer. Like as the calculator cannot replace a maths teacher, a digital dictionary can’t replace an English teacher. In the same way, websites, videos, social sites and videos cannot replace a teacher. Electronic media can convey great information and teacher is the great source of information too. Electronic media and a teacher can together in a great way. Teachers should take the help of Electronic media to convey their message to the students. They should modify their way of teaching to communicate with every mind which wants to participate in the process of getting the education.

Need some improvements, some spelling mistakes but I think that was a typo. “Electronic media and a teacher can together in a great way” what does this mean? “They can enhance our creativity and think” where is the ing. It would have been the best article if you haven’t committed those mistakes, but quality comes with experience. Next time do take care of these things.

Nice effort, mind it even the content on internet is created by someone who is in a way playing the role of a teacher so I am sure teacher is going no where. Problem of online content is lack of monitoring and set rules, yet it depends upon the researcher’s ability to asses the content. We all are students in one aspect of life and teachers in another, so teachers are going to stay but the dynamics of the class may change from mere 4 walls to globalization and online teaching.
